Responsibilities
Responsible for developing the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach.
Serve as the primary client liaison and manage the project team to deliver scope, schedule, and budget to completion and client satisfaction; assist with client project scoping and contract negotiations.
Perform technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
Implement the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach on each project; lead development and execution of the project management plan; supervise and mentor team to overall project objectives.
Coordinate with managers on project staffing—including recruitment, development, retention, succession planning—and support performance and compensation reviews.
Partner with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development, build client relationships, and pursue strategic and mini‑mega projects in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Sales Approach.
Lead proposal development and interview presentations for strategic and mini‑mega projects; deliver general presentations within the industry and community.
May be responsible for recruitment, hiring, development, and retention of staff, including succession planning.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
2 years of task management or Deputy PM experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Engineering.
10 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
Project Management Professional (PMP).

Approximate pay range for New York: $123,854.48 – $242,151.39 (good faith estimate; actual compensation dependent on qualifications, experience, etc.).
