Responsibilities Act as the liaison between the brand team and the editorial department; communicate with managers about brand needs. Monitor daily email and chat flow; provide or respond to notes within brand and editorial teams. Be flexible to working later nights and weekends, primarily for assigned brands and support other brands as needed. Edit copy according to Agency and Client style; ensure all jobs contain appropriate information required by Clients and the FDA. Proofread, edit, and cold read all stages from manuscript to proof for grammar, punctuation, sense, spelling, AMA style, Client Style, and med-legal changes. Fact check annotated manuscripts and PDFs for accurate support of all claims; triage annotated PDFs and reference lists for accuracy. Ensure each job is appropriately reviewed at each stage according to editorial practices and procedures with clear, concise comments. Communicate via chats, calls, and emails with IPM and other significant editorial issues on any job. Assist the team in maintaining a style guide that can be shared with editorial department and brand team. Attend assigned product status and startup meetings; be prepared to be on camera at least 50% of the time. Learn and adapt the use of software programs as introduced by Omnicom. Qualifications College degree preferred. 3+ years of proofreading experience. Superior proofreading skills. Excellent grasp of grammar; familiarity with anatomy and physiology. Proactive demeanor with an inclusive mindset and can-do approach. Working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office (Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel); navigating network server.
