About the Role
Join shortart.co as a 2D Animator Artist and develop your creative, technical, and storytelling skills through hands‑on production and guided mentorship. This role is designed for students and emerging artists looking to build a strong animation portfolio while learning about the creative pipeline in a professional studio setting.
Key Responsibilities
Flexible in animating in Tradition & Digital
Create 2D animated sequences, character actions, or motion tests based on provided briefs and direction.
Collaborate with directors, concept artists, and production mentors to refine visual storytelling and timing.
Participate in visual development projects that may include storyboarding, layout, design, or compositing.
Attend scheduled feedback sessions and implement revisions to enhance technical and artistic quality.
Maintain organized project files and adhere to established production timelines.
Requirements
Proficiency in 2D animation tools such as Toon Boom Harmony, Adobe Animate, or equivalent software.
Also looking for 2D Animator who can animate in After Effect.
Strong sense of timing, posing, and movement; understanding of animation principles.
Ability to take direction constructively and work both independently and in a small creative team.
Enrollment in a program that allows credit‑based or supervised internship participation (or OPT eligibility).
Portfolio or reel demonstrating animation or related visual work.
