Senior Manager, Affiliate Marketing Operations, Relationship Management & Compliance
The Senior Manager of Affiliate Marketing Operations, Relationship Management & Compliance will lead a team of five marketing and process managers to oversee the execution, monitoring, analysis, and optimization of Capital One’s affiliate marketing program. This role involves developing partner strategies, ensuring compliance, driving performance improvement, and maintaining strong relationships with affiliate partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Oversee Capital One’s portfolio of more than 20 affiliates, building and managing relationships:
Act as the central point of contact, owning communication strategy
Hold regular meetings and manage email communication to keep partners informed of product and intent changes
Track and answer ad hoc questions from business or affiliate partners
Attend industry conferences and meet with partners
Provide feedback on performance and areas for improvement
Manage contractual terms for individual affiliates
Continuously monitor performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to optimize partnerships and business value:
Manage payout changes and maintain allow lists for product offerings with affiliates
Research, recruit, and onboard new affiliate partners and products
Conduct bi-annual performance reviews and offboard underperforming partners
Create and manage roadmaps for affiliate programs
Support technical integrations between affiliates and Capital One
Manage the creative development process, either as a creative consultant for affiliates or by partnering with internal creatives and agencies to develop ads for affiliate sites, emails, and more.
Ensure affiliate partners meet all compliance requirements, managing risk for Capital One:
Conduct monthly audits of vendor Impact activities to verify accuracy
Oversee legal review of content produced by affiliates
Maintain an accurate list of monetized URLs
Monitor compliance, document issues, and liaise with risk to remediate as needed
Manage the relationship with vendor Impact, influencing their platform roadmap.
Work closely with internal partners across business, data, tech, brand, PR, legal, ESM, and risk to align on affiliate marketing strategy.
Oversee budget management, ensuring affiliates are paid accurately each month.
Ensure the team documents processes and continuously seeks automation to improve efficiency.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience
At least 3 years of experience managing people
At least 4 years of experience in Affiliate Marketing
At least 8 years of experience in digital acquisition marketing and paid media
Preferred Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience managing people
At least 8 years of experience in Affiliate Marketing overseeing large volumes and multi‑million dollar budgets
At least 3 years of experience with marketing analytics and optimization
At least 2 years of experience in project management
At least 2 years of experience using Impact
Experience working for an affiliate, affiliate marketing agency, or brand that manages affiliate marketing in‑house
