Seeking an experienced SFMC Developer to drive email marketing automation, build personalized campaigns, and support integrations. Collaborate with CRM teams to design, test, and optimize multi‑channel journeys using Journey Builder, Content Builder, and AMPscript.
This is a 12‑month contract position located in Rockville, MD. Candidates must be local to the DC metro area.
Responsibilities
Gather requirements; design, build, test, and deploy responsive emails and nurture campaigns.
Develop dynamic content with HTML, CSS, AMPscript; create landing pages and microsites.
Segment data, manage lists, and execute A/B testing for performance optimization.
Build and automate workflows using Automation Studio, Journey Builder, and triggered sends.
Ensure deliverability, CAN‑SPAM compliance, and inbox best practices.
Integrate with Salesforce, MuleSoft, D2L, PeopleSoft, and AWS RedShift.
Perform QA testing (Litmus/Return Path), data hygiene, and system maintenance.
Create dashboards, reports, and actionable insights from campaign metrics.
Document solutions and support monthly releases.
Required Qualifications
3–5+ years in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content/Contact Builder).
Expert in HTML/CSS, AMPscript, responsive design, and email best practices.
Proven in automated/drip campaigns, segmentation, A/B testing, and QA.
Experience with SQL, Data Extensions, APIs; Google Analytics.
Bachelor’s or equivalent; strong communication and cross‑functional collaboration.
Certifications (One Required) Relevant Salesforce certifications are required. At least one of the following is preferred: Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Marketing Cloud Journey Builder Specialist, Marketing Cloud Administrator.
