Position Overview The Director of Marketing and Admissions manages the community inquiry and admission process, provides customers with community-related information through tours, personal visits, and follow-up, and coordinates effective sales and marketing programs.

Key Responsibilities

Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources.

Conduct community tours.

Manage the admission process by maintaining updated bed availability and community services information.

Manage the inquiry process professionally and timely, with appropriate follow-up.

Effectively manage occupancy levels and census/premium mix enhancement.

Make calls to external community contacts, including medical, insurance, legal, financial professionals, senior organizations, and other referral sources.

Develop and maintain relationships to advise referral sources about bed availability and new products and services.

Maintain a current database of existing and potential referral sources.

Utilize company sales practices and tracking tools.

Alert department heads and community staff of projected changes through daily admission meetings.

Utilize bed management principles.

Collaborate with the Director of Nursing Services and Business Office Manager to ensure efficient admission decisions.

Recommend admission decisions to community management.

Coordinate sales and marketing plans, chair marketing team meetings, monitor budgets, and track results.

Maintain knowledge of state and federal regulations and reimbursement guidelines (Medicare and Medicaid).

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Communications preferred.

Two years of equivalent experience in a sales/marketing or admissions coordinator role.

Previous healthcare community relations experience preferred.
