designed for physicians who want to expand their impact beyond direct clinical practice and help shape the future of aviation and space medicine.

About the ACAI Program The
Authors of Clinical AI (ACAI)
initiative engages the top 100 specialists in each country to codify their clinical reasoning into traceable, auditable AI models. For aerospace medicine, this includes modeling decision pathways for: ✦ Pilot fitness and medical certification ✦ In-flight medical emergencies ✦ Spatial disorientation & hypoxia evaluation ✦ High-G exposure and acceleration physiology ✦ Fatigue, circadian disruption & cognitive performance ✦ Environmental exposures (radiation, pressure, microgravity) ✦ Aeromedical risk assessment & return-to-flight decisions ✦ Spaceflight-associated medical conditions
Responsibilities Collaborate with MetaQare scientific and engineering teams to develop aerospace-specific clinical AI models. Review, refine, and validate anonymized aeromedical data aligned with FAA, DoD, and international standards. Participate in peer-review sessions with other ACAI Authors across aviation and space medicine. Contribute to diagnostic and operational decision-support algorithms for aviation and space environments. Ensure compliance with HIPAA, FAA medical guidelines, DoD aeromedical policies, and international aerospace medical ethics.
Requirements MD or DO
with board certification or fellowship training in Aerospace Medicine. FAA Aviation Medical Examiner (AME), military flight surgeon, or significant aviation medicine experience preferred. 5+ years of clinical practice in aerospace or high-performance operational environments. Experience with aeromedical decision-making, pilot evaluations, or operational risk assessments. Strong analytical and evidence-based reasoning skills. Interest in AI, clinical modeling, and digital health innovation. Eligible to practice or consult in the United States.
