Court Reporter – Spokane – VA VISN‑20 | Mann‑Grandstaff VA Medical Center
Full‑time position located at Mann‑Grandstaff VA Medical Center to provide Court Reporting Services for the Western States Network Consortium. The role supports the VA Medical Center across federal (USA) sector clients and requires high skill in court reporting, confidentiality, and adherence to VA standards. Responsibilities
Provide accurate and timely transcribed testimony from witnesses; bind and index transcripts. Attend court proceedings punctually, maintain professional demeanor, bring necessary equipment. Read and interpret transcripts, clarify inaudible statements as requested by boards or presiding bodies, and administer oaths. Accommodate required turnaround times and ensure work products meet established criteria. Assist program and project management as required for the assist program. Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency; minimum one year of court reporting experience. Certified National Court Reports Association (NCRA) Registered Professional Reporter (RPR) or equivalent. Proficient in English; strong reading, speaking, writing skills. Experience with AIB, Equal Opportunity Hearing, MSPB or arbitration hearings preferred. Ability to administer oaths and conduct depositions with notary authorization. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and related technology. U.S. citizenship; to submit to background investigation and hold facility access authorization. Technical Proficiency
Speak, understand, read and write English fluently. Computer skills: email communication, Microsoft Office, navigation of court reporting software. Physical Requirements
Bend, pull, push, lift up to 20 pounds; reach, walk, stand, sit for extended periods. Travel
Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or training, coordinated in advance and approved by the Contracting Officer. Benefits & Highlights
