Annual Giving Marketing and Engagement Assistant
We are seeking a creative and motivated Oregon State student to join the Annual Giving team. Reporting to the Senior Director of Annual Giving, the selected student will play a key role in supporting donor engagement and fundraising efforts through administrative, marketing, and outreach activities.
Responsibilities
Engage with fellow students to promote philanthropy and increase awareness of giving opportunities.
Support events and initiatives, including logistics, promotional materials, and outreach for Dam Proud Day and other university fundraising initiatives.
Make stewardship calls to thank donors, share impact stories, and gather feedback; conduct survey outreach to collect insights from constituents; and support event engagement through personalized outreach and follow‑up.
Perform market research and analyze peer institutions to identify new donor audiences—such as students, recent alumni, and parents—and strengthen outreach strategies.
Conduct data research to support annual giving campaigns by updating and verifying donor and prospect information, while maintaining accurate records of engagement activities and outcomes through timely data entry into the donor database.
Provide general administrative support for the Annual Giving team.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Must be a student enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study.
Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible.
Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard:
High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home‑schooling program.
Undergraduate and post‑baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term.
Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term.
Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term.
Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term.
Must successfully complete a Criminal History Check and be determined position qualified per OSU Standard 576‑055‑0000 et seq.
Must self‑report convictions and may be required for additional checks every 2 years if in youth programs.
