Community Manager
Location : Greater Houston, TX
Salary : $115,000 - $135,000
Description Westbury Reserve Apartments is seeking an experienced and motivated Community Manager to oversee the daily operations of our apartment community. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a customer‑first mindset and a solid background in property management. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the property, including leasing, budgeting, staff supervision, maintenance coordination, and resident relations. The Community Manager ensures the community operates efficiently, meets financial goals, and provides a positive living experience for all residents.
Responsibilities
Physically inspect all common areas daily to ensure peak readiness and appearance, taking immediate action on any unsatisfactory issues.
Walk the property daily to check for cleanliness, safety, and conditions of buildings, driveways, laundry rooms, pools, landscaping, and all exterior features.
Maintain current market and neighborhood information to ensure relative pricing of the property and develop marketing and advertising programs to maximize market position.
Ensure the quality of market‑ready units and maintain a supply of available units in market‑ready conditions.
Approve all lease paperwork daily, including applications, move‑ins, move‑outs, and renewals; ensure all move‑ins are walked with the resident and satisfaction is achieved; perform leasing duties as needed.
Collect, record, and deposit property income accurately and in a timely manner.
Hire, train, and review performance of all on‑site personnel, directing their activities to ensure job satisfaction, acceptable productivity levels, and career progression; maintain personnel files and communicate evaluations.
Approve all invoices for goods or services received at the site, utilizing the accounts payable system and instructing office personnel in its use.
Requirements
Minimum 1–2 years of property management experience preferred.
Proven experience in leasing, rent collection, budgeting, and vendor coordination.
Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong time management, customer service, and problem‑solving skills.
Must be self‑motivated, organized, and capable of operating independently.
Proficiency in RealPage software preferred.
