The Director of Enrollment Management Communications (EMC) is responsible for the strategic development and execution of a comprehensive communication and marketing plan across the enrollment life cycle, supporting the university’s goals of recruitment, retention, and graduation. Duties include oversight of design, development, implementation, and assessment of a comprehensive plan across all platforms (digital, print, web, video, etc.).

The Director will drive a communication strategy beyond the Division of Enrollment Management, serving as the division’s chief liaison with the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM), college communicators, Student Life, and Student Success. The plan focuses on prospective student recruitment (lead generation, funnel entry and management), admissions and enrollment, financial aid and scholarships, financial wellness, the university’s centralized service center (One‑Stop), and the Registrar, while further supporting and integrating messages from campus partners.

The Director works closely with enrollment leadership to advise operational practices, coordinate delivery of enrollment strategies, and maintain a consistent look, feel, voice, and experience across all mediums. The role serves as the EM representative and chief liaison for communication strategy with key campus partners, including Communications & Marketing, Alumni & Advancement, Student Life, Student Success, and academic colleges, to inform and execute a broader outreach strategy to both external and internal audiences. The Director oversees all web, press, print, social, video, and digital strategies for the Division of Enrollment Management units, providing consultation and insights to campus partners.

Additional responsibilities include approving and overseeing all EM communication flows executed through division and campus enterprise systems (e.g., Banner, Slate, Salesforce, Touchnet). The Director will manage a communications team that supports these objectives and will transform the way the university recruits and serves students, personalizing the experience for all.

The position is critical in executing the university’s undergraduate strategic enrollment plan by building data‑driven communication strategies and leveraging relevant technology to impact enrollment and university goals. The Director also manages the fulfillment team who coordinates the distribution of printed collateral, direct mail, promotional products, and the division’s overall inventory across the enrollment life cycle.

Key Qualifications

Experience in strategic enrollment planning and communications.

Strong leadership and team‑management skills.

Proficiency with enterprise communication systems (Banner, Slate, Salesforce, Touchnet).

Ability to develop and execute integrated marketing plans across multiple platforms.

Data‑driven decision making and experience with enrollment metrics.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
