Job Summary Responsible for developing high‑quality online and hybrid courses. Collaborate with faculty across departments to provide instructional design support, consultation, needs‑based training, ADA compliance assistance, and quality assurance. Leverage learning analytics to inform instructional decisions and support professional learning for faculty.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate with faculty to develop online courses that meet quality assurance standards.

Manage instructional projects, producing materials, websites, video, graphics, and interactive media using approved editing systems.

Co‑ordinate with digital learning staff and identify instructional experts for timely training and professional development opportunities.

Plan, direct, implement, and evaluate professional development courses delivered to faculty through multiple venues.

Research and recommend best practices, instructional resources, technologies, and multimedia hardware/software for teaching and learning while ensuring copyright and ADA compliance.

Lead the development and implementation of professional learning for faculty (microlearning packages, webinars, online courses, etc.).

Deliver a train‑the‑trainer program to familiarize designers and relevant personnel on tools and strategies for teaching, learning, and reflective practice.

Assist faculty in employing educational data collection techniques (classroom observations, SGIDs, mid‑term evaluations).

May supervise staff, provide training, mentoring, hiring, and performance management as assigned.

Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education, preferably in a related field.

Required Experience Five (5) years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications Preferred Experience Design and development of training for adult learners.

Use of innovative technologies and research‑based techniques for technology‑enhanced learning.

Experience Supervising And Directing The Work Of Others

Implementation of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and best practices.

Training faculty in academic web accessibility and technology enhanced instruction, including learning analytics.

Testing technology‑enhanced learning environments for accessibility.

Experience in higher education.

Knowledge of technology enhanced teaching and learning systems, preferably Desire2Learn Brightspace.

Designing and developing online courses for higher education.

Graphic design and video production.

Accessibility professional certifications (CPACC or WAS).

Quality Matters/Rubric Certifications (AppQMR, OSCQR).

PMP, CPTD, CPT or other recognized professional accreditation related to instructional design.

Preferred Educational Qualifications Advanced degree in a related field from an accredited institution.

Knowledge

Current learning models and emerging trends in digital education.

Use of learning management systems (Brightspace, Canvas, Moodle).

Learning theories, backward design, and constructive alignment.

Assistive and learning technologies (captioning tools).

Digital media production (Camtasia, Audacity, Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate).

Universal design and accessibility in online environments.

Rubric development and online course evaluation.

Skills

Strong interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem‑solving, independent judgment, technology, organization, communication, time management, project management, and presentation skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related applications.

Attention to detail and follow‑up.

Customer service skills and phone etiquette.
