Role: Assistant Social Media Manager
Reports to: Senior Manager, Social Media
Location: RoC HQ in New York, NY
Hybrid: 3 days a week in office (Tuesday – Thursday)
Compensation: Salaried, $65,000–$75,000
RoC Skincare is looking for a creative and collaborative Social Media Assistant Manager to join our dynamic, high-growth company. This position is hybrid and based in our New York HQ, reporting to the Senior Manager of Social Media.
The Social Media Assistant Manager will be a beauty- and trend-obsessed individual with a creative and entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll work closely with the team across social media channels to create and manage content for brand launches, special projects, trends, and more. A successful candidate is a strong self-starter and communicator, thinks outside the box, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This role partners closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Creative, PR, and R&D teams.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES WHAT YOU'LL DO
Conceptualize, write, execute, and edit engaging content for RoC’s social channels (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging AI platforms).
Collaborate with the Senior Manager of Social Media to translate brand storytelling priorities into creative, strategic content.
Own daily community management across all social platforms, engaging followers and building brand loyalty.
Lead RoC’s presence on AI social platforms, exploring new tools, content formats, and engagement opportunities.
Identify trends and translate them into timely, relevant content ideas.
Assist withbriefing, review, and coordination of user-generated content (UGC).
Run our community on TYB (Try your Best) to engage customers in strategic, creative ways
Support global photoshoots and assist with asset organization and distribution.
Film and edit social content, including short-form videos optimized for both organic and paid media.
Assist with brief writing of motion and static content to freelance creative
Write and edit copy for posts that balance brand voice, SEO, and engagement best practices.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
1-2 years of experience creating and managing content for a brand (intern or coordinator level acceptable).
Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and emerging social media trends.
Proven ability to film, edit, and produce high-impact short-form video content.
Extremely comfortable being on camera and shooting others.
Strong understanding of community management and audience engagement.
Awareness of evolving digital and AI social trends.
Excellent writing and communication skills.
Strong organization, prioritization, and project management skills.
Detail-oriented, collaborative, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment.
Passion for beauty, skincare, and social media innovation.
