Producer – Property & Casualty
USI Insurance Services is looking for an experienced Producer to join our Outside Commercial Lines sales team. The role focuses on driving new business sales, retaining existing clients, and increasing revenue across our commercial portfolio.
Responsibilities
Achieve annualized new business sales of $175,000 in the target market of companies with $10 million+ in sales.
Collaborate with the Practice Leader to declare a primary industry specialization (vertical) and select a secondary vertical aligned with the primary.
Retain at least 92% of business year over year with leadership and account management support.
Meet new business activity and quality appointment goals.
Utilize USI resources to research prospects and develop customized messaging.
Explain USI’s competitive differentiation to clients and prospects.
Develop a sales business plan and use effective prospecting strategies.
Innovate for clients using market knowledge and advanced understanding of technical insurance issues.
Participate in national and regional vertical meetings, video calls, and training sessions.
Engage in meetings focused on preparing for first appointments, advancing, closing, and retaining business.
Use USI’s contact management and sales automation tools to support sales processes and provide accurate data for revenue forecasting.
Seek cross‑selling opportunities to enhance prospect and client relationships.
Collaborate with the account management team on significant account management services for clients.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of USI competitors.
Represent USI positively in meetings, seminars, trade shows, and networking events.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Minimum 3 years of sales experience in an insurance brokerage with proven sales success.
College degree preferred.
Must hold a current Property & Casualty insurance license.
Strong knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and concepts.
Personable, highly motivated, goal‑oriented, and driven to achieve individual sales goals.
Superior communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent organizational and follow‑up skills.
Consultative, positive, and resourceful approach to interacting with prospects, clients, and colleagues.
Excellent listening skills with a strong customer focus.
Ability to engage senior‑level management and exhibit top‑level executive presence.

Salary & Bonus Salary Range: $100,000 – $200,000. Position is bonus eligible.
