Adjunct Faculty in the Visual and Performing Arts, Education, and Science Division are responsible for providing instruction and formative and summative assessment of student learning. Reporting to the Assistant Dean, Adjunct Faculty prepare course syllabi and design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments to address different learning styles and ensure that students successfully meet the course objectives and outcomes. Adjunct faculty also incorporate learning‑centered principles and concepts and motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational experience.
Minimum Experience Master’s degree in Music preferred, or master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate credit hours in Music coursework.
Preferred Experience
Teaching Art, or a related field, at a Community College or Vocational/Technical institution
Utilizing Learning Management Systems
Teaching at a Community College or Vocational/Technical institution
Teaching traditionally underserved populations
Incorporating technology and multimedia applications into teaching and learning process
Teaching in multiple instructional modalities
Utilizing Learning Management Systems
