Position Overview The Highway Project Manager will serve as a senior-level engineer, overseeing the development and execution of transportation projects. This includes highway and traffic signal design, long-range planning, traffic impact analysis, transit planning, and client coordination. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and providing technical leadership across disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day client communications and project coordination
Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation for assigned projects
Oversee multiple projects ranging from basic to complex in scope
Conduct quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) reviews of project deliverablesRepresent the firm in meetings and presentations related to engineering assignments
Mentor and guide junior engineers and technical staff
Maintain project budgets and timelines
Facilitate public and stakeholder meetings for complex projects
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project integration
Assist in proposal development and participate in client interviews
Prepare project billing and documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution
Minimum of 6 years of experience in transportation or civil engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required; equivalent experience may be considered
Active involvement in professional engineering organizations is a plus
