Responsibilities In your role, you will be responsible for all aspects of project delivery including engineering and pre‑construction, construction, commissioning, and closeout. You will utilize experience with construction, contract administration, and leading teams while working with various stakeholders. Following the project scope, schedules and budgets, you will ensure the project remains on task. Client interaction, running weekly construction meetings, and applying critical thinking skills to resolve problems on the project are tasks associated with this role. Guiding the project team is what you do best. You will interface directly with the Design‑Build Operations Manager, engineering leadership, and preconstruction managers along with the project staff. Serving as the representative for Jacobs at our project site, your responsibilities cross all aspects of project completion and delivery, but also include staff engagement, coaching and mentoring. Technically, your skill set is up to the highest standards and that reflects in your ownership of the project, inspiring you to offer the best to our clients.
Specific duties include the following
Implementing the safety program on‑site
Primary interface with the client
Participating in reviews during the preconstruction phase of the project
Developing procurement and packaging approach through buy‑out
Identifying risks and risk mitigation strategies
Developing and endorsing construction team staffing and budgets
Leading, coaching, and mentoring on‑site staff
Responsible for financial performance of the project including timely invoicing to the client and payment of subcontractors
Producing forecasts and revenue plans while coordinating with financial managers and project controls staff
Managing permitting compliance with regulatory agencies and project stakeholders
Qualifications Here’s what you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or another applicable field.
At least 8 years of progressing experience including management in construction and administration of large multimillion‑dollar projects in water / wastewater.
Ideally, You’ll Also Have
Knowledge of design and pre‑construction, delivery systems, and components.
Experience in alternative project delivery including progressive design build, fixed price design build, or construction management at risk.
