Job Description Summary

MUSC Department of Radiology is seeking candidates for a Cardiothoracic Radiology fellowship beginning July 1, 2024. Clinical work and training will be performed in the MUSC Hospital and MUSCP affiliated sites. Candidates will work closely with referring physicians to ensure appropriate studies are performed, actively participate in resident and medical student teaching, and research interests are encouraged.

This non‑ACGME Fellowship is a one‑year junior faculty (Clinical Instructor) position within the College of Medicine.

Applicant must be board‑eligible or board‑certified in radiology, preferably by the American Board of Radiology, and must obtain a South Carolina medical license before the start of the fellowship.

Lift and carry patients up to 300 lbs assisted (frequent).

Push/pull objects up to 200 lbs unassisted (frequent).

Maintain 20/40 corrected vision (continuous).

See and recognize objects close up and at a distance (continuous).

Match or discriminate colors (continuous).

Determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception (continuous).

Good peripheral vision (continuous).

Maintain hearing acuity with correction (continuous).

Hear and understand whispered conversations at 3 feet (continuous).

Qualified physically for respirator use (annual review).

Additional new requirements: maintain a valid driver’s license, computer literacy, ability to work rotating shifts, ability to work overtime as required, and ability to learn and use new processes, tools and equipment as required.
