Vice President, Media - Integrated Advertising Agency

Executive Alliance is pleased to represent our client, a fully integrated boutique media planning and buying agency headquartered in the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area. They focus on developing integrated advertising planning solutions for TV, radio, online, mobile, outdoor, print and sponsorship platforms.

They are seeking a Vice President of Media to drive client relations, technology roadmaps and growth initiatives for the agency and their. This is an onsite role four days per week at company headquarters with one day remote on Fridays. Applicants must be accessible to company HQ in Woodland Hills, CA.

The Vice President, Media will lead client relationships, strategic direction, and business growth initiatives. This senior leadership role focuses on advancing media capabilities, shaping innovative solutions, and mentoring teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Leadership & Strategy – Serve as the senior media lead on client accounts, ensuring measurable results and lasting partnerships.
  • Lead and Strengthen Media Negotiations – Negotiate better rates, added value, and premium inventory; develop vendor relationships nationally and regionally.
  • Business Growth – Drive revenue expansion by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and contributing to new business efforts.
  • Media Innovation – Stay ahead of evolving media trends, platforms, and technologies.
  • Team Leadership – Inspire, mentor, and lead client-facing teams to foster accountability and innovation.
  • Operational Excellence – Ensure client initiatives are executed on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards.
  • Cross-Agency Collaboration – Partner with strategy, creative, media, and analytics teams to deliver integrated, impactful campaigns.
  • Industry Engagement – Represent the company as a thought leader in media, contributing perspectives internally and externally.
  • Process & Execution – Establish, refine, and oversee end-to-end media processes to ensure consistency, efficiency, and excellence in campaign delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 20+ years of progressive leadership experience in media and advertising, with a strong emphasis on cross-channel planning and buying.
  • Proven track record of growing client relationships and delivering revenue growth.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience overseeing budgets and resource allocation.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with extreme attention to detail.
