to lead design efforts, mentor junior staff, and coordinate across disciplines on high-performance building projects. This is a
hybrid position based in NYC , ideal for candidates with
4+ years of experience
and a passion for both technical design and team leadership. Responsibilities
Lead plumbing and fire protection design across all project phases—from schematic design through construction administration Mentor junior engineers and provide redline feedback Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants Attend and contribute to client meetings Ensure quality assurance of technical documentation and drawing sets Solve design challenges using sound engineering judgment Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering 4+ years of plumbing and fire protection design experience Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit Strong understanding of system sizing, flow, and pressure calculations Familiarity with diverse building types and occupancies Excellent communication and client-facing skills EIT or PE certification preferred Work Environment & Benefits

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
