If you are interested in becoming part of an organization that is innovating senior healthcare visit , , or follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter.**The Job**The Communication Specialist at Independence at Home (IAH) will provide support on both internal and external communications, creating relevant messages based on publicity needs and goals and reaching diverse stakeholders including media, care partners, allies, employees, volunteers and the broader community. Promotes Independence at Home’s mission and community service through traditional communications as well as new media. The Communication Specialist will actively promote IAH’s mission and community initiatives through traditional and digital channels, producing compelling content aligned with IAH’s mission, vision, and values.**You Will**Writes, edits, and produces various communication projects for different IAH target audiences, with an emphasis on communication to community members, older adults, family caregivers, stakeholders, and partners. Deliverables include: IAH newsletter management, internal communications, paid advertisement, call and video scripts, social media management, digital/online content, collateral, direct mail, email, client letters, event presentation slide decks, press releases, ad hoc assignments.Supports external communications promoting IAH programs and services, including creating engaging content for various social media platforms to raise awareness about the IAH’s mission and services. Creates communication materials to increase follower engagement, reach, and impact.Collaborates with the IAH Directors and outreach teams, ensuring consistent promotion IAH programs, messaging and branding across all social and online media channels. Will engage with the online community, responding to moderately complex inquiries while escalating complex issues to higher level, and cultivating relationships with supporters and partners with the support of Directors to enhance IAH online presence and support its goals.Create engaging presentations and support materials for community meetings and events. Ensure project deliverables reflect the voice and values of SCAN and IAH, with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.Coordinate with colleagues to prioritize projects and ensure project goals and deadlines are met. Provides concise project updates and progress reports for all assigned projects.Works closely with internal team and outside vendors (designers, videographers, etc.) to meet agreed-upon project timelines regarding design and production. Maximizes use of project management system for consistent project communication, vendor assignments and version control.Knowledge of regulations (e.g., CMS, DHCS) and ensures that all member communications are submitted to and reviewed by IAH Directors for regulatory requirements and assist in seeking compliance and/or legal approval, as needed.Participates in cross-functional teams, providing communications recommendations; maintains collegial, collaborative relationships.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.We seek Rebels who are curious about AI and its power to transform how we operate and serve our members.Actively support the achievement of SCAN’s Vision and Goals.Other duties as assigned.**Your Qualifications**Preferred, but not required:

High School Diploma/GED/Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing Communications.A comparable combination of education/experience and/or training will be considered equivalent to the education listed above.0-3 years’ experience in marketing, political or other advocacy communications. Experience with copywriting, compliance, and production.Experience in healthcare and/or Medicare Advantage, nonprofit or government categories is preferred.

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred for this role. (If bilingual, testing will be administered to assess proficiency).Must have a thorough knowledge of standard English conventions of advertising, marketing, editorial and digital writing and content development.Must be proficient in MS Office suite, including PowerPoint.Must be fluent in uses of platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, X (Formerly Twitter), LinkedIn, Constant Contact, Canva, Bitly and show an entrepreneurial ability to use these tools to promote IAH.Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to articulate a point-of-view, act with integrity and operate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Regularly report on campaign performance, identify key insights, and adjust campaign activity.Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, flex easily should projects or priorities shift and demonstrate excellent organizational skills including working under deadline pressures.Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines consistently without sacrificing quality is a must.* Base salary range: $64,000 to $92,602 per year* Hybrid position* An annual employee bonus program* Robust Wellness Program* Generous paid-time-off (PTO)* Eleven paid holidays per year, plus 1 floating holiday, plus 1 birthday holiday* Excellent 401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with employer match and contribution* Robust employee recognition program* Tuition reimbursement* An opportunity to become part of a team that #J-18808-Ljbffr
