Communications & Marketing Specialist

$35–$60 per hour, depending on experience

We’re seeking a creative and driven communications professional to help us share our story, celebrate our successes, and strengthen the bonds that make Dorris-Eaton exceptional. This part‑time, contracted role will expand our outreach and ensure that our values shine through every interaction.
Key Responsibilities
Capture and create engaging content — stories, photos, and videos from daily school life.
Maintain and regularly update the school website with fresh, accurate content.
Write and share alumni features for use across marketing channels.
Manage and grow our presence on social media platforms.
Develop blog posts and articles that highlight school news and achievements.
Produce a regular digital newsletter showcasing events, programs, and community highlights.
Build strong relationships with parents and community members.
Foster relationships with local media and community partners.
Draft and distribute timely press releases.
Collaborate with our marketing team to support on‑ground communication needs.
Qualifications
Passion for communication, storytelling, and social content creation.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.
Familiarity with HubSpot and digital marketing tools.
Background in education or teaching experience strongly preferred.
Ideally local to San Ramon (or open to relocation/commute).
