Lam\'s Electron Microscopy team in Fremont, CA is looking for a SEM Technician to support semiconductor applications. Overview Our team operates several generations and models of scanning electron microscopes, including the latest tools. Samples span a wide range of semiconductor manufacturing processes, presenting dynamic challenges and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Support various semiconductor applications using SEM to image challenging structures. Image wafer-level samples, capturing profiles, sidewalls, and top-down images. Perform EDS analysis where required. Optimize image quality on the SEM for diverse materials. Contribute to the development of best-known methods (BKM) for SEM imaging of new applications. Perform SEM alignments and correct basic fault conditions on metrology equipment. Maintain effective written and verbal communication with a large internal customer base. Qualifications AS/BS in a related field or equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years of SEM experience. Effective communication skills in English, written and verbal. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to work a shift schedule. Preferred Qualifications Associate degree or technical certificate in a technical field. Experience in metrology or related areas. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. On‑site Flex you\'ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you\'ll work 1-2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
