Responsibilities include:
Providing itinerant vision-related education services to students with blindness or visual impairments Delivering individualized instruction, including Braille and orientation & mobility skills Assessing student needs and developing appropriate learning materials and accommodations Adapting curriculum, classroom environments, and materials to ensure accessibility Being an active IEP team member, writing goals, and monitoring progress Conducting functional vision and learning media assessments Planning and implementing lessons tailored to specific eye conditions Maintaining accurate records and submitting required reports to schools and families Acquiring and delivering adaptive equipment, books, and administering assessments with recommendations Collaborating with teachers, service providers, and families to support inclusion and student success Qualifications:
Certification as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments Experience working with students with visual impairments or blindness Benefits:
