Job Title: Mechanical Designer

Location: Coraopolis, PA

Type: Direct Hire

Compensation: $85000 annually

Contractor Work Model: On-site

Mechanical Designer- AutoDesk Inventor

Design 3D models and technical drawings for mechanical and electrical equipment using Autodesk Inventor. Convert engineering specs and project data into detailed designs covering structures, piping, ductwork, and foundations.

Responsibilities:

  • Create 3D models and layouts in AutoDesk Inventor

  • Produce as-built drawings after project completion

  • Check dimensions and materials lists for accuracy

  • Work with other engineering teams on design coordination

  • Support project leads in meeting design goals

  • Help other disciplines during project work

  • Review designs for conflicts and buildability

  • Generate bills of materials from 3D models

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in CAD or Drafting (mechanical focus preferred) with 5+yrs experience, OR equivalent education and experience

  • Strong skills in AutoDesk Inventor 3D modeling and AutoCAD

  • Ability to work on multi-discipline teams

  • Solid understanding of mechanical and structural design

  • Basic knowledge of fabrication, purchasing, and construction processes
