GoodWeave International - a nonprofit organization founded in 1994 by Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi — is the leading global institution working to stop child and forced labor in supply chains through a market-based system and human rights-based approach. In partnership with international companies and producer communities, we bring visibility to hidden, outsourced tiers of textile supply chains; protect marginalized workers; provide assurance that certified products are free of child, forced, and bonded labor; prevent exploitation; and restore childhoods to child labor and trafficking survivors.

Position Summary

GoodWeave is seeking a creative and analytical Social Media Intern to support our communications and marketing efforts from mid-January through mid-May 2026. This role is ideal for a student or recent graduate passionate about ethical business, storytelling, and digital engagement.

The intern will focus primarily on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, helping us strengthen our voice, visibility, and connection with key partners and audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media Landscape Mapping

  • Research and chart the social media presence and engagement habits of GoodWeave’s top partners, licensees, allies and end-use consumers.
  • Identify best practices, content trends, and opportunities for collaboration or amplification

Strategy and Content Planning

  • Assist in planning the types of content most effective for each platform.
  • Contribute to editorial calendar development and content strategy discussions.

Content Creation and Execution

  • Draft and design engaging posts, graphics, and stories for Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
  • Support campaign rollouts and social media initiatives tied to GoodWeave’s programs and impact stories.
  • Monitor engagement and provide basic analytics or performance insights.

Qualifications

  • Strong familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn (experience managing or creating content preferred).
  • Excellent written communication and visual storytelling skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Interest in social impact, ethical trade, or sustainability is a plus.
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express, or similar design tools is helpful.
