University of Houston - Downtown in is hiring: Temporary NE Videographer, MDCOB

Salary: $20/hourly

Department: M Davies College of Business

Duties

• Record high-quality video footage at events, interviews, and special projects
• Edit raw video into polished content for use on social media, websites, and digital campaigns
• Collaborate with the Digital Communications team to brainstorm, storyboard, and execute video projects
• Manage video equipment, including cameras, microphones, tripods, and lighting
• Ensure quick turnaround of event recap videos, typically within 24–48 hours
• Organize and archive video files for easy access and future use
• Assist in producing content for podcasts and other multimedia projects as needed
• Support live event video production, including setup and teardown

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate experience with videography and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Familiarity with camera equipment, lighting, and audio recording

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Creative eye for storytelling, composition, and detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects on deadline
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
