Job Description
The UI team is seeking a proficient front end web designer to assist with various UI/UX projects. The successful candidate will be passionate about web design and development; take pride in and ownership of assigned projects; possess a desire to learn new approaches and technology; able to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop wireframes and high fidelity mockups from requirements
- Ensure UI/UX design is in accordance with corporate branding; style guides; design patterns and other requirements
- Help create and maintain UI/UX design patterns; style guides; style tiles and standards
- Help create, maintain and socialize UI/UX standards
- Help identify and evaluate new technologies and methodologies regarding UI/UX design
- Create and maintain design templates
Required Skills and Experience
- 5 years minimum designing web site front ends
- Effective ability to conceptualize and communicate UI/UX ideas to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proficiency with design approaches and tools including sketching; wireframing; high fidelity mockups
- Proficiency with Adobe CC applications including Photoshop; Illustrator; InDesign and others
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word; Outlook; PowerPoint; Excel
- Responsive Web Design: working knowledge as it affects the design phase
- UI/UX: strong understanding of principles; standards and best practices
Additional skills and experience that would be considered a big plus
- 8 years minimum developing web site front ends
- Proficiency with video editing and production (Adobe Premier; Camtasia)
- Experience with Balsamiq; Sketch; Axure; InVision; Adobe XD
- HTML5 and CSS3: working knowledge or practical experience with coding
- jQuery: working knowledge or practical experience with jQuery libraries and interfaces
- Responsive Web Design: working knowledge or practical experience with regard to creating/maintaining responsive sites
- Experience with Twitter's Bootstrap framework.
- HTML Email: experience designing responsive HTML emails
- Cross-browser compatibility: experience testing with IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, browser developer tools.
- Web Accessibility: experience integrating WCAG standards in design.
