The applicant should be an undergraduate student in the Visual & Performing Arts or Language & Literature Departments. The student should demonstrate a basic understanding of small press publications. They should have an interest in text–image design and some experience with design software, such as InDesign.

Primary Responsibilities

The design editor is responsible for the overall look and the layout of The Sage art & literature journal. They prepare The Sage for both print and online publication. They also oversee the selection of visual work to include in the journal and work together with the literary editors on the production process to meet the end‑of‑the‑spring‑semester deadline.
