About The Role
As a Senior Account Manager (Publisher), you will focus on maximizing account value through strategic renewals, cross‑selling, and expansion—ensuring best‑in‑class Net Dollar Retention (NDR) and Gross Revenue Retention (GRR). This highly strategic, commercially minded role requires analytical rigor and relationship excellence, collaborating with Customer Success, Sales, and Revenue Operations to define renewal processes, establish pricing frameworks, and embed value‑driven narratives.
What You’ll Be Doing
Act as a trusted commercial advisor, proactively identify and close opportunities for platform expansion, negotiate renewals, and drive sustained growth by ensuring clients adopt our technology’s full value. Communicate commercial value at every level—from daily contacts to CXO decision‑makers—while consistently delivering predictable revenue and ongoing account health.
Renewal Management
KPI: Gross Revenue Retention (GRR)
- Lead and support renewals across strategic, enterprise, and key publisher accounts, ensuring all renewals include a standard rate increase.
- Partner with Customer Success Managers (CSMs) to build comprehensive renewal strategies emphasizing realized value, ROI, and future growth.
- Improve renewal forecasting processes to better assess risks and identify growth opportunities through 2025/2026.
- Drive proactive engagement throughout the customer lifecycle to ensure retention and long‑term success.
Expansion Strategies
KPI: Net Dollar Retention (NDR)
- Develop a strategic and comprehensive business plan for each account, mapping the benefits of Permutive’s solutions to core customer requirements.
- Implement cross‑sell strategies for products such as Routing, Prospecting, and IBM Watson integrations.
- Lead and support expansion opportunities across key publisher accounts, growing multi‑product adoption and account penetration.
Establishing Pricing Power
KPI: Enablement and process development to positively impact GRR and NDR
- Establish a consistent, scalable process for achieving average rate increases of 5–10% while securing every renewal.
- Build and articulate strong value narratives to reinforce Permutive’s pricing power during renewal and expansion negotiations.
- Create enablement materials and processes that standardize renewal playbooks, pricing collateral, and customer touchpoints.
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop a plan for the accounts, including events, seminars, and roadmap sessions.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Finance, and Revenue Operations to refine pricing governance and align on commercial best practices.
What You’ll Need
- Significant experience (8+ years) in account management, customer success, or revenue strategy within AdTech, SaaS, or digital media.
- A strong record of driving renewals, expansions, and rate increases across enterprise or strategic publisher accounts, consistently exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong commercial acumen, with outstanding analytical skills and proven experience in pricing strategy, forecasting, and retention modelling.
- Proven ability to lead by example across key accounts, creating compelling narratives and aligning cross‑functional teams to achieve measurable results.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, comfortable articulating commercial value to influence senior stakeholders.
- A highly organized, data‑driven approach to solving customer challenges, consistently motivated by achieving measurable revenue and retention outcomes.
What We’re Offering
Base salary between $150,000 and $175,000, with performance‑based OTE around $250,000 for meeting 100% quota attainment. Potential for uncapped earnings beyond the base.
Our Bonus Structure
At $150,000 base with 100% quota attainment, your annual OTE is around $250,000. Earnings potential is significantly higher; 100% quota attainment is the minimum expectation for our Account Managers.
