Job Description

Our Seattle locations are seeking Main Studio Instructors in disciplines such as strength, conditioning, dance, cardio, sculpt, boxing, and martial arts. Responsibilities include:

  1. Delivering the Equinox Experience to members in each class;
  2. Adhering to class descriptions and modifying intensity as needed;
  3. Monitoring exercise intensity throughout classes;
  4. Starting and ending classes on time;
  5. Teaching classes regularly with minimal substitutions;
  6. Communicating with the Group Fitness Manager regarding feedback, equipment, scheduling, and substitutions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. A current Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM, ACSM) or a related degree;
  2. Experience teaching group fitness classes;
  3. Current CPR/AED certification;
  4. Knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology, exercise modifications, and ACSM guidelines;
  5. Enthusiasm for professional development;
  6. A friendly, vibrant, outgoing personality;
  7. Access to regular email and phone communication;
  8. Pay rate: $60-$80 per class or $17.25/hr for non-class work.
