Overview

We are hiring a Senior Technical Writer to join the Digital Applications Team at one of our largest Fortune 200 Energy Generation clients! The company is undergoing a major Digital Transformation (DT) focused on elevating visibility into the innovative work executed across the enterprise over the last year. To better socialize these accomplishments and drive adoption, the team is building a Digital Hub website that will serve as a repository and entry point into DT products, shared technology platforms, value stories, and points of contact. As the Senior Technical Writer, you will play a critical role in translating complex technical initiatives into compelling, easy-to-consume content that resonates with both business and technical audiences. In this role, you will own and drive the strategy and execution of Digital Hub content, from information architecture to storytelling to digital marketing. If this opportunity aligns with your expertise in technical writing, content strategy, and communicating highly technical concepts, we encourage you to apply!

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of technical writing, product documentation, or content strategy experience, preferably supporting engineering, digital, or product teams
  • Experience working with and writing documentation for SharePoint sites and/or similar.
  • Ability to translate highly technical concepts into clear, engaging content without losing accuracy or depth
  • Experience defining and managing enterprise‑level website or knowledge‑base content structure (taxonomy, navigation, tagging)
  • Proven ability to partner with SMEs and interview technical stakeholders to extract information and shape narratives
  • Background writing for technical audiences (data engineering, pro‑code/low‑code development, product delivery)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present content direction and recommendations

Preferred Requirements

  • Familiarity with AI/ML, cloud platforms, or digital product frameworks
  • Experience with digital marketing or product ownership

Responsibilities

  • Lead content strategy, structure, and execution for the Digital Hub website
  • Create and maintain product‑style pages highlighting DT capabilities, shared technology platforms, cost/value summaries, and engagement pathways
  • Partner with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to extract raw information and turn it into polished, user‑friendly content
  • Write success stories, case studies, playbooks, “how to engage” guides, and platform overviews
  • Ensure alignment and consistency across content authored by multiple contributors
  • Continuously review and enhance user experience by tracking engagement and optimizing content for clarity, impact, and discoverability
  • Operate the Digital Hub as a product, driving ongoing refinement, presenting recommendations, and advocating for the value of DT across the business
