Senior Digital Content Creator
Join American University’s Kogod School of Business marketing and communications team as a creative, detail‑oriented Digital Content Creator. This full‑time, hybrid role supports enrollment initiatives through engaging multimedia, social media, email newsletters, web content, and event coverage.
Responsibilities
Social media coordination and content creation using Canva and scheduling
Website support: write blog articles, update pages, manage CMS contacts
Newsletter management: write, edit, list manage, and distribute
Copywriting: craft engaging, strategic copy for digital platforms
Live social media coverage of events and interviews with stakeholders
Quality assurance: align all content with Kogod branding and accessibility standards
Digital media management: organize multimedia assets for brand awareness and lead generation campaigns
Essential Competencies
Attention to detail – strong proofreading and design eye
Design adherence – ability to follow brand guidelines
Problem‑solving – proactive, can‑do attitude
Organization and time management – handle multiple tasks and deadlines
Position Details
Full‑time, 35 hours per week, hybrid 01 (On Campus 3‑4 days/Week)
Salary: $65,000 – $70,000 annually
Required education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Required experience: 3–5 years of relevant experience
Preferred education: Bachelor’s degree
Preferred experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience
Eligibility: content ideas, writing, editing, interviewing, research paper reading, CMS familiarity
