Job Description Senior Designer (Independent Contractor → Full-Time Salary).
Location: Hoboken, NJ (NYC-area projects).
Corvino Design is a luxury residential interior design firm based in Hoboken, NJ. Our boutique studio specializes in full‑scale renovations and new construction of 5,000+ sqft properties in the NYC area. Our work has been featured internationally in Vogue Living, AD Italy, Domino, and EST Living, and showcased on Instagram at @corvino.design.
We offer a comprehensive approach—helping clients procure property, hire architects and general contractors, and designing every detail of the interior environment.
About The Role We are seeking a Senior Designer who will oversee multiple high‑end residential projects from schematic design through installation. This role requires design leadership, client‑facing experience, technical precision, and project management skills.
You will generate design presentations, 3D visuals, and custom furniture drawings, oversee vendors and production schedules, lead client meetings, and ensure timely delivery of all FF&E and construction documents.
This position begins as an independent contractor role with a path to a full‑time salaried position after a defined evaluation period.
Key Responsibilities
Lead multiple luxury residential projects from concept through installation.
Generate 3D renderings, design schemes, CAD elevations, and presentations.
Present to clients and oversee design intent from approvals through execution.
Conduct site visits and maintain strong client communication.
Manage vendor relationships, timelines, and production (millwork, furniture, etc.).
Produce and update FF&E schedules, construction drawings, and client master schedules.
Collaborate closely with the Principal and oversee Junior Designers.
Record and delegate meeting priorities to ensure project milestones are met.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field.
5+ years of professional experience in high‑end residential design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, Enscape, 3DS MAX (or equivalent).
Strong portfolio showcasing custom millwork, furniture design, and design detailing.
Proven ability to produce client‑ready presentations and manage FF&E.
Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
Technical proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines.
