Position Summary The Integrated Marketing & Communications (IMC) Project Manager plays a vital role in supporting the efficient and strategic delivery of marketing and communications projects across the YMCA of Greater San Francisco. Reporting to and working under the guidance of the Director of MarCom Operations, this role helps ensure that the department delivers excellent customer service, strategic partnership, and measurable marketing outcomes support both to departments and branches across the association.

Serving as the primary project and account manager for marketing and communications requests from departments and branches the IMC Project Manager guides projects from intake through delivery using YGSF’s Salesforce Cases ticketing system and other workflow and project management tools. They ensure that each request is clearly defined, appropriately prioritized, and efficiently delivered. Acting as the central problem-solver and liaison between staff and the MarCom team, this position ensures every project supports the Y’s mission, strategic pillar priorities, meets brand standards and drives measurable impact.

In addition, this role plays a central role in tracking, analyzing, and reporting marketing performance data coordinating with channel and function owners to deliver monthly reporting. By monitoring campaign metrics, organizing reporting workflows, and surfacing actionable insights, the Project Manager helps ensure that the MarCom department’s strategies are data-informed, measurable, and aligned with organizational goals.

This role bridges account management, project management, reporting, and operations—ensuring internal partners receive high‑quality support while the MarCom team remains aligned, on schedule, and results‑driven.

This is a hybrid role located in San Francisco , CA with a requirement of four (4) days onsite.

Job Responsibilities Strategic Project & Account Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned internal partners, ensuring clear communication, exceptional service and strategic alignment throughout each project.

Manage incoming requests through YGSF Salesforce Cases ticketing system—the central intake and coordination tool for branch and marketing support. This includes reviewing submissions, gathering missing information, and translating requests into actionable creative briefs.

Translate branch and develop integrated campaign and project plans in collaboration with MarCom team members (Creative, Digital, Communications, Marketing), including timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities.

Monitor project and campaign progress, proactively identifying risks and keeping teams on track to meet deadlines.

Support coordination of reviews, approvals, and handoffs between internal stakeholders and MarCom team members.

Creative Brief Development

Partner with internal requestors to translate business needs into clear, actionable creative briefs that align with YGSF’s messaging platform and brand standards.

Ensure briefs include objectives, target audiences, key messages, deliverables, timelines, and performance metrics.

Campaign Planning & Reporting

Collaborate with team members to develop integrated marketing campaign plans that leverage multiple channels (digital, print, PR, events, etc.).

Track and report on agreed‑upon campaign KPIs and metrics, providing regular status updates and performance insights to internal partners and MarCom leadership.

Collect and analyze marketing performance data to inform decision‑making, improve future campaigns, and support organizational reporting needs.

Contribute to quarterly and annual marketing performance reports to share progress with leadership and internal stakeholders.

Systems & Process Support

Co‑manage the MarCom ticketing system alongside the Operations Lead, ensuring requests are accurately captured, categorized, and processed in a timely manner.

Provide daily support for staff using the ticketing system—troubleshooting issues, answering questions, and helping improve the user experience.

Partner with Operations to identify opportunities to optimize workflows, templates, and reporting within the ticketing system.

Champion consistent use of the system to ensure data quality and enable meaningful reporting on departmental workload and impact.

Minimum Qualifications

3-5 years of project management, account management, or marketing/communications experience (agency or in‑house).

Strong organizational and time‑management skills; able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to translate complex needs into clear action plans.

Familiarity with integrated marketing campaigns and working across multiple channels.

Experience with project management systems and CRM platforms (Salesforce experience strongly preferred).

Comfort with pulling and interpreting data to inform decisions.

Strong writing and editing skills for creative briefs and project documentation.

Passion for community impact and alignment with the YMCA’s mission and values.

Desired Qualifications (Optional)

Experience in nonprofit or mission‑driven organizations.

Familiarity with creative production processes (design, digital content, events).

Knowledge of marketing performance metrics and reporting dashboards.

Work Environment & Physical Demands This position requires regular in‑office work (4 days/week) and the ability to work at a computer for extended periods. May occasionally require lifting materials up to 25 lbs for events or campaign support. Some evening or weekend work may be required to support special events or critical deadlines.

This rate is based on benchmarking for similar roles and is aligned with grant fund approvals and requirements for the position.
