Mechanical Design Engineer I Location: Mason, OH (Hybrid work schedule)

As a Mechanical Design Engineer I at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of innovative mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your guidance meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work on mechanical systems and components that enhance the performance and efficiency of our products.

Responsibilities

Assist in the mechanical design process, from concept to production.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet mechanical requirements and specifications.

Design and develop mechanical systems, components, and assemblies.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.

1+ years of experience in mechanical design and development.

Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.

Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools.

Familiarity with mechanical analysis and simulation tools.

Experience with GD&T and other drafting standards.

Desired Qualifications

Advanced Engineering degrees such as ME (Mechanical Engineering).

Experience in product testing, validation and documentation.

Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.

Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
