JOB SUMMARY As a senior leader within the Business Operations and Client Experience Team, the Commercial Product Marketing & Field Readiness Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping how KeyBank Commercial brings its lending & payments solutions to market—and how our field teams are empowered to deliver them with confidence and impact. This leader partners across Product, Business Development (BD) and Corporate Center Marketing to shape the go-to-market strategies, define product positioning, and ensure field teams are equipped to deliver lending & payments solutions that create value for clients and deepen relationships. This team will have a direct impact on revenue growth, client satisfaction, and market differentiation.
In addition to functional leadership, this position carries people management responsibility, overseeing a high-performing team that bridges strategy and execution. The ideal candidate is a player-coach—someone who leads by example, inspires excellence, and actively mentors team members through hands‑on engagement. This leader fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation, empowering individuals to grow while driving collective success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Team Management Build, lead, and develop a high-impact team responsible for product marketing and field readiness across commercial lending & payments capabilities. Serve as a player‑coach, actively engaging in strategy and execution while modeling best practices and setting a high bar for performance. Inspire and mentor team members, foster a culture of continuous learning, ownership, and innovation. Provide clear directions, coaching, and feedback to support professional growth and team cohesion.
Go-to-Market Leadership Lead planning, internal readiness, and communication strategies for new and enhanced commercial lending, treasury management, and payments products and capabilities, including digital platforms like KeyNav and KBBO.
Product Positioning & Messaging Develop compelling client‑centric narratives that differentiate KeyBank’s solutions and reflect market trends and client needs. Guide the team in creating messaging frameworks that resonate across diverse client segments and industries.
Field Readiness & Enablement Oversee the development of scalable enablement tools—pitch decks, sell sheets, videos, QRGs, talking points, and “meeting‑in‑a‑box” toolkits. Lead readiness and product training programs that equip relationship teams to identify opportunities, articulate value, and drive adoption.
Integrated Marketing Collaboration Partner with Corporate Center Marketing to execute multi‑channel campaigns (paid, earned, social, owned) that elevate brand awareness and client engagement.
Market Insights & Analytics Leverage market research, client feedback, and performance metrics to refine product positioning and optimize the go-to-market strategies.
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related field.
WORK EXPERIENCE
7-10 years of experience in product marketing, enablement, or training in commercial banking, fintech, or related industry.
2+ years of people leadership experience, with a demonstrated ability to develop, inspire, and lead teams through role modeling and active engagement.
Strong understanding of B2B financial solutions, including commercial lending, treasury management, embedded finance solutions, payments ecosystems and digital platforms such as KeyNav and KBBO.
SKILLS
Excellent storytelling and communication skills, translating complex offerings into client‑focused narratives.
Proven success in leading cross‑functional go‑to‑market initiatives and field readiness programs.
Strong leadership, relationship management, and influencing skills across multiple levels of the organization.
Ability to operate strategically and tactically in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and accuracy.
Outstanding prioritization, organization, and interpersonal skills. A “can do” mentality is essential.
A teamwork attitude, willing to take on extra tasks and see them through. Acute attention to detail and problem‑solving skills are also necessary attributes for the role.
Experience with Salesforce, learning management, or content enablement tools is a plus.
CONTRACTING & WORKSPACE POLICY This role may be mobile or home based, which means you may work either at a home office or in a Key facility to perform your job duties.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $94,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
