Job Description and Position Requirements Conferences and Institutes is seeking Youth Program Leaders for the Bellisario College of Communications Summer Camp to be held Sunday, July 5, 2026 – Friday, July 10, 2026.
Responsibilities
24‑hour supervision and safety of minors participating in the program.
Manage all aspects of daily program administration (youth compliance policies and procedures, emergency response).
Communicate directly with Program Director and Program Manager.
Collect, store, verify medication, and oversee participant health information.
Assist with development of instructional content and deliver lessons and activities.
Monitor safety, whereabouts, and actions of participants at all times, including non‑instructional times.
Identify and respond to issues concerning participant interactions, behavior, mental health, and acclimation.
Act quickly and calmly using sound judgment, handle sensitive issues, address behavior issues, and follow notification protocols.
Qualifications and Clearances
Background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
Campus Security Crime Statistics Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security. The ASR is available for review here.
