Job Description Poll Sound is seeking an AV Sales Engineer excited about growing in the AV industry with Utah’s expert in sound and audio/visual systems. The right candidate will have a passion for sound and AV, love designing systems, putting together quotes, helping customers, commissioning systems, and learning new technologies. The role involves bidding projects, conducting site surveys, meeting with customers, and doing all that is necessary to successfully sell and complete projects. The position will require close collaboration with our sales, engineering, installation, and service teams to ensure all projects meet our highest standards. Projects range from small conference rooms to large stadiums and arenas.
Responsibilities
Self‑motivated and dependable
Excellent at accurately estimating project costs
Experience bidding large projects designed by consultants
Good understanding of how sound and AV systems work
Detail oriented
Knowledge of construction
Great customer and communication skills
Quick to learn new technologies
Excellent at reading and understanding plans and specifications
Commissioning of projects
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in estimating and designing commercial AV projects
Experience in the field, installing and configuring AV systems
CAD and drafting experience a plus
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver’s license
DSP and control system certifications a plus
Able to pass a drug test and background check
