Apex Systems is currently hiring for an IT Technical Writer with a Department of Defense client supporting mission‑critical communications and technology initiatives. This project involves developing and maintaining clear, accurate documentation that enhances operational readiness and supports enterprise‑wide IT systems for a highly specialized military program.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

5+ years of technical writing experience within IT, cybersecurity, or defense‑related environments

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and VISIO for creating documentation and technical diagrams (including floor plans and equipment layouts)

Experience with SharePoint and other content management systems

Familiarity with DoD and Army documentation standards, including MIL‑STD and style guides

Ability to interpret and translate complex technical information into clear, concise documentation

Working knowledge of IT systems, cybersecurity principles, and network infrastructure terminology

Strong grammar, formatting, and editing skills with attention to detail
