Pay Range $70,140.00/yr - $85,680.00/yr
Do you have solid experience in digital media planning & buying and come from an agency background? If so, we’re looking for a strategic, data-driven, hands‑on Senior Media Planner & Buyer to build media programs that actually move business results, not just impressions for a multiple award‑winning full‑service integrated marketing agency.
If you love solving complex marketing challenges, optimizing campaigns in real time, and presenting insights that make clients say “WOW” you’ll thrive here.
This is not a siloed planning role or a button‑pushing buying role. You’ll do both — end‑to‑end, and play a central role in shaping media thinking across the agency.
The role reports into the Chief Strategy Officer and is a hybrid 3‑4 days in the office/WFH split and would suit candidates based in or near the Greater Atlanta Metro Area.
What You’ll Do
Develop comprehensive media plans that align with client objectives, targeting the right audiences across digital channels including programmatic, social, search, display, and video.
Conduct thorough audience research and leverage data to inform media strategies and ensure campaigns reach the intended targets effectively.
Collaborate with creative, account, and analytics teams to ensure media plans are integrated and aligned with broader campaign goals.
Media Buying & Negotiation
Execute media buys across various digital platforms, ensuring optimal placement and performance.
Negotiate rates, placements, and partnerships with media vendors to secure the best value for clients.
Manage relationships with media vendors, ensuring clear communication, timely delivery, and adherence to campaign requirements.
Campaign Management & Optimization
Monitor and optimize campaigns in real‑time, adjusting tactics as needed to improve performance and achieve client KPIs.
Analyze campaign data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.
Provide regular performance reports to clients and internal teams, highlighting key metrics and recommending adjustments as needed.
Budget Management
Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring efficient allocation of spend across channels to maximize ROI.
Track and report on media expenditures, ensuring campaigns stay within budget while delivering optimal results.
Assist in forecasting and financial planning related to media buys and campaign execution.
Client Communication & Reporting
Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding media planning and buying activities, providing strategic insights and updates on campaign performance.
Prepare and present media plans, performance reports, and optimization recommendations to clients.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high‑quality media solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
Mentor and support junior media planners and buyers, providing guidance and sharing expertise to enhance team capabilities.
Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams, including creative, analytics, and account management, to deliver cohesive and effective campaigns.
Contribute to the ongoing development and refinement of media planning and buying processes within the agency.
Stay up‑to‑date with the latest digital media trends, technologies, and best practices.
Experiment with new media channels, formats, and tools to keep campaigns fresh and innovative.
Share insights and learnings with the broader team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
What You’ll Bring
A proven digital media strategist and buyer with 5+ years of agency experience.
Fluent in programmatic, paid social, search, and video channels.
Analytical and curious – comfortable digging into dashboards and optimizing to KPIs.
A confident communicator who can turn data into decisions and insights.
A natural negotiator who knows how to get the best value from media partners.
Organized, proactive, and energized by a fast‑moving environment.
