Key Responsibilities

Serve as a member of the Athletics Executive Leadership Cabinet, providing strategic counsel to the CEO and senior leaders on brand development, market growth, and audience engagement.

Develop and implement a long-term marketing strategy that strengthens the Bulls brand, drives measurable growth in fan base and engagement, and supports departmental revenue and fundraising goals.

Oversee all marketing, advertising, and promotional campaigns for USF’s 21 NCAA Division I programs.

Ensure brand consistency and alignment across digital, in‑venue, campus, and community platforms.

Fan Experience & Game Presentation

Provide leadership and vision for the in‑game experience across all venues, ensuring every home event reflects the energy and excellence of the Bulls brand.

Direct all aspects of event presentation — creative scripting, music, partner activation, fan interaction — while maintaining strong coordination with operations, ticketing, and communications teams.

Develop and implement initiatives that enhance student, alumni, and family participation in athletics events.

Continually assess fan satisfaction and innovate experiences that increase engagement and loyalty.

Community Engagement & Grassroots Initiatives

Lead community‑focused events and activations such as the Back to Football Luncheon, Fan Fest, Homecoming events, Bulls Bay, and other Tampa Bay and campus initiatives.

Serve as a visible ambassador for USF Athletics within the community, fostering partnerships that build goodwill and connect Bulls Athletics with fans, alumni, and local organizations.

Strengthen the department’s connection with the greater Tampa Bay region through collaboration with university marketing, civic entities, and local media partners.

Bulls Club & Development Collaboration

Partner with the Bulls Club to design and execute marketing and communications strategies supporting donor engagement campaigns, including the Annual Fund, Stampede for Women, and facility naming and fundraising initiatives.

Align messaging and visuals with development, NIL, and sponsorship teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and revenue growth across all external units.

Leadership & Organizational Management

Lead and mentor a diverse team of marketing and fan experience professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and collaboration.

Provide oversight of the USF Cheer, SunDolls, and Rocky the Bull programs to ensure elite performance, safety, and spirit representation at all events.

Manage marketing budgets, contracts, and performance analytics to maximize return on investment.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.

At least eight (8) years of progressively responsible marketing or fan engagement experience, including four (4) or more years in a supervisory or leadership capacity.

Proven experience in developing and executing large‑scale marketing or fan experience initiatives within a Division I athletics program, professional sports team, or comparable entertainment organization.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sports Management, or a related field.

Demonstrated success in leading cross‑functional external relations teams.

Experience with multimedia rights, sponsorship activation, NIL integration, and community relations initiatives.

Strong understanding of the Tampa Bay market and fan engagement trends.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.
