The VAS Global Sales Training Team empowers Visa’s global sales organization through impactful training and enablement initiatives. This role focuses on designing, managing, and optimizing training programs that equip specialist sales teams with the knowledge, tools, and methodologies to sell Visa’s Value-Added Services effectively.
You will lead content development, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure timely delivery of scalable, high‑quality learning solutions.
This position requires an experienced professional with strong project management skills, energy, flexibility, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, time‑sensitive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design & develop learning solutions that align with Visa and VAS business priorities and global sales campaigns.
Apply instructional design principles (ADDIE) for needs assessments, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
Collaborate across functions: partner with Visa University for online/on‑demand content; work with Marketing, Sales Strategy, Product, Client Services, and regional GTM leaders to identify needs and deliver relevant solutions.
Drive excellence & innovation by incorporating modern learning modalities (VILT, microlearning, simulations, AI‑driven tools); build reusable templates and scalable content.
impact by establishing best practices for assessing learning outcomes and leveraging performance metrics to improve effectiveness.
This is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in the office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
Location – this role will be based in either our Austin, TX or San Francisco, CA offices.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:
8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or at least 5 years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or 2 years with a PhD.
Preferred Qualifications:
9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 7 or more years of experience with an advanced degree (e.g., Master’s, MBA, JD, MD), or 3 years with a PhD.
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience in sales enablement, program management, or learning and development.
Expertise in instructional design and modern learning modalities (eLearning, live, virtual, or blended).
Proficiency with authoring tools (Articulate, Captivate).
Experience with video script writing and editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, Synthesia).
Familiarity with CRM tools, sales methodologies, and enablement platforms like Highspot.
5+ years of experience with an advanced degree.
Background in global sales enablement within technology or payments.
Strong executive presence, communication, and consulting skills.
Ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
Experience mentoring team members and leading cross‑functional projects.
Creative self‑starter comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change.
Knowledge and examples of game‑based learning design a plus.
Additional Information Work Hours:
Varies on the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements:
5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements:
The position will be performed in an office setting. Requires sitting and standing at a desk, communicating in person and by telephone, and frequently operating standard office equipment.
