Thompson Coburn, a large full-service law firm with offices in eight cities across the U.S., is looking for a full-time non-exempt Marketing Coordinator to join its office in Chicago, Dallas, New York, St. Louis, or Washington D.C. Under the supervision of the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for updating the CRM system with new leads and contacts as well as maintaining the accuracy of existing data. They are also responsible for producing and promoting webinars; assisting with email marketing, including creating and sending communications; scheduling new hire photographs; and the production of other marketing materials. This position is eligible for a flexible hybrid‑remote work schedule after an initial period of training.

Key Responsibilities

Uses webinar platforms and branded templates to create webinar events, invitations, reminders, and distribute webinar correspondence.

Serves as a producer for live webinar events.

Assists with updating PowerPoint materials for attorneys and other firm professionals, ensuring brand consistency and quality.

Coordinates sending of emails for new hires with photo instructions.

Conducts ongoing maintenance of CRM firm data, including adding relevant contacts, improving data quality, monitoring email metrics, and compiling data to create reports.

Uses approved templates and best practices to create and send email marketing deliverables, including marketing campaigns, news alerts, invitations, surveys, internal campaigns, and more.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required

Must possess a high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills so as to be able to work well with employees at all levels within the organization and maintain all information in the strictest confidence. Required to use tact and diplomacy when dealing with others.

Ability to effectively use the Firm’s marketing technology platforms, programs, and systems.

Working knowledge of Excel and Word; PowerPoint and Canva are preferred.

Understanding of website content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, and CRM systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce.

Must possess attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple projects, and strong time management skills.

Ability to travel as necessary.

Experience and Education Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Marketing or related field preferred.

Minimum two (2) years of experience in a marketing or equivalent field required, preferably in professional services.

Knowledge of relevant software and database experience preferred.

Compensation For applicants that meet the experience requirements for the role and are physically based in Washington, D.C., the expected salary range is $68,000 - $82,000 annually upon commencement of employment. Starting salary will be determined on an individualized basis with consideration to prior experience and additional qualifications. This is in addition to a comprehensive benefit package offered by the Firm.
