BASIC FUNCTION

Responsible for creating and implementing employee communication content that creates excitement, drives engagement, aligns teams/individuals, and helps shape culture.

PROBLEM-SOLVING / KNOW HOW

Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience or a related function; or four (4) years of related experience in communications, marketing, human resources or a related function or the equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training.

Experience required in development of corporate communications and overall communication plans.

Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows-based databases appropriate to the position and assignment.

Preferred or a Plus: Organizational Change Management (OCM) skills strongly preferred (crisis and/or change management).

Automotive OE or automotive agency support experience strongly preferred.

Sharp, relevant understanding of media outreach tactics in today's digital world, social media as a business.

Communications platform, and the digital user experience including web design strongly preferred.

B2B brand building and Tier 1 business understanding a plus.

Bi-lingual English-Japanese verbal and written communication skills a plus.

COMMUNICATIONS

Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills (all formats including Word, Excel and PowerPoint), including strong customer service skills.

Must communicate appropriate information accurately and clearly as needed including strong presentation skills.

Must understand technical terms for communications translation.

Must have the ability to effectively interface and communicate with a variety of individuals / groups frequently.

Good interpersonal relationship building skills are important.

TRAVEL

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Quality Procedures Review procedures, materials, or processes to assure compliance to all specifications and standards.

Comply with and enforce all procedures and work instructions.

Respond to quality and work issues and take corrective action as appropriate.

Has the organizational authority to identify and segregate, as necessary, suspect or non-conforming material (for example components, saleable product, specifications, controlled documents, etc.) and to notify the appropriate authority (manager, etc.) for instructions.

ACCOUNTABILITIES — INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Responsible for end-to-end creation and deployment of internal communications supporting our business and culture initiatives, such as Modern Workplace, Safe Restart, Lead & Tell, etc.

Serves as point person for all business-related communication requests ensuring SLA process is followed.

Manage content calendar, determine appropriate platform to utilize, and timing.

Responsible for ongoing collaboration with creative and IT teams to ensure MyHub remains up to date with current and relevant content.

Routinely review and recommend improvements to the site.

Assists in the coordination, content planning and execution of live meetings and events, such as the All Hands Meeting, Real Talks, Information Sessions and Lead the Change.

Develops messaging and communications to support business and culture initiatives such as 90 Day Sprints, Modern Workplace and Performance Engagement.

Responsible for the ongoing logistics to maintain the High5 recognition platform, including billing / invoices.

Responsible for ensuring our company remain an employer of choice through external and internal talent channels, such as Glassdoor, career site, NEO and social media. Manage award submission process.

Leads Employee Spotlight initiative by identifying candidates, interviewing, and creating written briefs and/or videos in alignment with company culture and DE&I objectives.

Provides support for external communications and events. Helps amplify internally to employees.

Analyzes effectiveness of marketing programs by monitoring key analytics, reporting to the team and offering recommendations for improvements.

Builds cross-functional relationships with brand and marketing peers to evaluate existing strategy and identify ways to enhance to proactively drive corporate messages.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for the management of information security as part of the normal management of the business.

Must cooperate with the company ISM professionals in implementing the information security policies within the company, and ensures that information is handled in compliance with the Global ISM related regulations.

Collects, analyzes, reports and presents data as information.

Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.

Interprets and complies with company policies, procedures, and regulations.

Initiates, recommends, and provides solutions through designated communication channels.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
