Role Overview The

Senior Producer, VFX/Virtual Production & Animation

will be the central operational and financial leader for key projects on the Promise slate, managing all aspects of the production life cycle for hybrid live‑action, VFX, and animation content. Your expertise will be critical in developing production plans and budgets that accurately cost and leverage next‑generation techniques, including

GenAI asset pipeline costing

and complex

Virtual Production projects . You will serve as the primary managerial link between creative leads, R&D engineering, and all production departments, ensuring high‑budget projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to world‑class standards. Lead the implantation of processes and procedures for the production team. Guide and mentor production team.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Generative Costing

Lead the creation and management of comprehensive budgets

for large‑scale AI, VFX and animation‑heavy film and series projects.

Develop and implement innovative financial modeling, including

GenAI asset pipeline costing , to accurately predict and track costs associated with ML‑driven workflows.

Manage all financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting to ensure projects remain within budget while maximizing creative output.

Negotiate and manage contracts, payment schedules, and resource allocation for external VFX studios, animation vendors, and specialized GenAI service providers.

Production Oversight

Oversee and produce projects utilizing Virtual Production (VP) methodologies , that may include LED walls and real‑time engine technology (e.g., Unreal Engine), 4D Captures.

Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and Director to plan and schedule production, ensuring smooth integration with the live‑action photography.

Develop and maintain complex production schedules that account for the unique demands of hybrid ML/VFX/Animation pipelines.

Mentor and lead internal producers, fostering an environment of technical excellence and creative problem‑solving.

Project Execution & Studio Leadership

Drive the successful execution

of

AAA films

and premium episodic content, including both traditional and fully animated projects.

Act as the primary production leader, managing cross‑departmental communication, mitigating risks, and maintaining a positive, professional, and efficient production environment.

Ensure all production goals are met, maintaining adherence to the highest technical, creative, and compliance standards (including IP/copyright for GenAI use).

Qualifications

Extensive, proven experience managing budgets for

large‑scale VFX films and/or animation projects .

Demonstrated knowledge and hands‑on experience in

Virtual Production, Volumetric Capture or Environment Scanning.

Understanding of GenAI asset pipeline costing

or deep familiarity with the financial modeling required for GenAI/ML‑driven production workflows.

Proven track record of managing a specific

high‑budget genre

(e.g., sci‑fi, fantasy, action, animation or anime).

Technical Skills / Qualifications

Expert‑level proficiency in industry‑standard budgeting and scheduling software.

Familiarity with the technical requirements and costs associated with

Machine Learning

and

Generative AI

tools as applied to asset creation.

Working knowledge of VFX and Animation pipelines (e.g., Nuke, Maya, Houdini, Blender) and real‑time engine platforms (Unreal Engine).

Strong understanding of digital asset management, version control, and data transfer protocols for large‑scale production.
