Overview
Our Saint Paul, Minnesota (MN) office is looking for a Structural Bridge Designer with 15+ years of experience to join our Structures Bridge team!
Responsibilities
Prepare full design plans for bridge rehabilitations, bridge replacements, and new bridges
Coordinating work activities to maintain schedules and budgets, and achieve quality
Exercising sound independent judgment and demonstrating knowledge and application of engineering principals
Establish CAD workflow, processes, best practices, and procedures for the transportation team in Indianapolis
Lead in the recruitment, development, and training of a growing CAD Designer transportation team in Indianapolis
Support and help train civil analysts to be able to perform basic CAD skills, plan development, and design detailing best practices
Partner with and provide feedback to project managers and engineers to establish best practices to translate design to plan production
Be the go-to technical resource on the transportation team for CAD troubleshooting, questions, and shortcuts
Qualifications
15+ years of relevant design experience
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree preferred)
Ability to set up and manage printing/plotting settings
Advanced knowledge and proficiency with civil design programs such as Civil 3D, MicroStation, OpenRoads, etc.
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Ability to work independently and with a team
Willingness to mentor and teach others
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000
