(HCIM) About The Role As a Freelance UI/UX Designer , you will shape the user experience and visual design of HCIM’s evolving product suite. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to translate complex workflows into intuitive, elegant, and scalable designs. Responsibilities Lead UX research, user flows, and interaction design for new and existing product features with a deep understanding of payer workflows Create wireframes, low‑fidelity concepts, high‑fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes to support product planning and engineering execution Develop and maintain a consistent design system to ensure scalability and UI cohesion across the platform Collaborate with product managers to refine requirements and translate complex business rules into intuitive user experiences Partner with front‑end engineers to ensure design feasibility, usability, accessibility, and responsive behavior across modern browsers and devices Conduct usability reviews and iterate designs based on internal feedback and customer insights Communicate design rationale clearly and effectively to technical and non‑technical stakeholders Contribute to the evolution of HCIM’s overall product design strategy and visual identity Provide design assets, documentation, and guidance to support efficient implementation by engineering teams Qualifications Proven UI/UX design experience creating enterprise‑grade web applications, ideally involving complex workflows or data‑heavy interfaces Expert proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD Strong portfolio demonstrating UX research, information architecture, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI designs Ability to translate abstract concepts and operational complexity into intuitive interfaces for non‑technical users Familiarity with front‑end technologies (HTML/CSS, React components, responsive design principles) to ensure practical and implementable designs Experience building or contributing to scalable design systems Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation skills Familiarity with Agile product development processes Experience in healthcare, RPA, claims systems, or regulated industries is a plus Knowledge of HIPAA compliance and sensitive data handling considerations is a plus Opportunity for Impact The healthcare industry is facing an unprecedented efficiency crisis.
