Summary The position is located within Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic (NRMA) Fleet and Family Readiness (FFR) Program Support Services (N94) Commercial Activities Program (Marketing, Sponsorship & Special Events). The incumbent serves as a technical advisor for regional marketing and advertising programs, commercial sponsorship and information management in support of NRMA FFR.

Responsibilities

Develop long‑term marketing and strategic plans to maximize patron utilization and satisfaction while enhancing FFR programs self‑sufficiency and/or profitability.

Plan, track, execute and optimize marketing programs; develop and promote the organizational brand; oversee marketing efforts in support of accreditation programs.

Build and implement effective marketing campaigns across webpages, an app, social media platforms, email, events, print and digital media advertising, SEM, mobile marketing and strategic partnerships.

Collaborate with the Supervisory Visual Information Specialist on design and production of marketing and promotional materials to guarantee highest quality and meet marketing objectives.

Evaluate the effectiveness of marketing plans, strategies and communication programs using customer response and overall success metrics.

Advising activity managers on effective advertising vehicles, appropriate media mix and media campaign plans designed to enhance participation and increase financial income.

Plan, coordinate and conduct market research, including demographics, surveys and focus groups, to assess customer needs and desires.

Oversee management of publicly and privately held information through online and offline application systems, including administration, technical planning, design, development, testing, implementation and management.

Supervise the development and management of information and media deliverables via CMS, Digital Asset Management (DAM) and social media platforms.

Initiate, direct and implement comprehensive marketing, public relations and sponsorship/advertising sales initiatives in coordination with installation and regional program directors.

Manage a list of viable annual events for commercial sponsorship and supervise development of sponsorship packages, negotiations and supporting documents.

Coordinate with the Office of the General Counsel to ensure sponsorship terms comply with all regulations and policies.

Attend COMREL events and serve as point of contact for sponsors at events; ensure sponsors receive copies of subsequent publicity and fulfillment reports.

Identify opportunities to increase revenue from commercial sponsorship and advertising programs.

Supervision May directly supervise up to 20 personnel across the Marketing and Sponsorship program.

Qualifications Resumes must include information that demonstrates experience and knowledge, skills, and ability (KSAs) as they relate to this position. Applicants are encouraged to be clear and specific about their experience level and KSAs.

Preferred: A degree from an accredited college or university with a course of study in marketing, public relations, communications, journalism, business administration or related field.

Experience with paid or unpaid work (including volunteer or part‑time) must be clearly identified with duties, responsibilities and total hours per week.

Experience in marketing, public relations, brand management, sponsorship or advertising is required; knowledge of social media, email marketing, events and digital media is essential.

Ability to develop and execute marketing plans, manage multiple initiatives, and evaluate results.

Strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.

Experience using CMS, DAM, and social media platforms is preferred.

Must complete and submit an occupational questionnaire as part of the application process.

Additional Information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
