Position Overview The
Field Marketing Coordinator
plays a key role in connecting Heart + Paw to local pet communities. This person will support and execute grassroots marketing initiatives, local events, sponsorships, and brand activations across multiple states. You’ll be on the road often—engaging with local partners, planning and facilitating events and programs, and helping new centers make a splash in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain strong relationships with center leadership and teams, providing support to help them create demand and awareness in their communities.
Plan and execute local events:
grand openings, in‑center activations, adoption events, community events, and neighborhood sponsorships.
Represent Heart + Paw as an on‑site brand ambassador—creating an engaging, fun, and professional presence at every event.
Travel extensively across regional markets to support events, pop‑ups, and partner activations (up to 75% travel).
Identify and build relationships with potential sources for new clients, such as apartment and condo complexes and new home builder sites.
Coordinate logistics for event materials, signage, giveaways, and branded assets.
Support brand and program partnerships with pet‑related organizations (rescue groups, shelters, groomers, trainers, appropriate local pet‑friendly brands and businesses).
Capture and share content (photos, videos, testimonials) from events to support Heart + Paw’s social media and local marketing.
Curate content from local centers & teams that highlight pet and client engagement.
Understand organizational data and reporting, proactively identify and interpret center needs at the local level.
Track and report results—attendance, engagement, leads, and ROI—to help improve future activations.
Assist with local marketing campaigns including flyers, in‑center promotions, and community outreach programs.
Local media outreach to generate awareness and buzz for local events and happenings.
Partner closely with Marketing Team, Ops counterparts and the Marketing Program Manager to coordinate local marketing programs.
Attend team meetings as appropriate (in‑person and online).
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
1–3 years of experience in field marketing, event coordination, or community relations preferred.
Passion for animals and comfort engaging with pets and their owners.
Strong organizational and logistical skills; detail‑oriented and proactive.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to travel frequently and work some evenings/weekends for events.
Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to transport event materials.
